I am a regular portuguese fellow who was lucky enough to be born in the paradisiac Algarve region. I’ve been properly educated by my parents to work hard and value the outcome and that has always pushed me through new boundaries.
Throughout my short working life, I’ve done lots of different stuff, from bartending, to installing and repairing lifts. Programming started as a hobby, and as much as I’d like to keep it that way, it is what feeds me nowadays.
I studied computer science until I reached the University, and then realized I’d rather get into electronics. Funny enough, I met more enthusiastic computer geeks than electronic’s, and that eventually led me to start working with a friend on a startup web design and development company. Some years later, I left the company (and the unfinished masters degree) to join new ventures.
Besides all the working and learning, I’ve allways had the bad habit of getting involved in all kinds of pro bono projects like event organizations, ngo’s and community driven stuff. Though these would never keep me alive, without them, I am not complete.
When I’m not working, for money or for free, I am the kind of guy that likes collecting vinyl records, hanging out with interesting people, drinking wine (and beer), traveling around, watching tv shows and movies, attending live sport events, among other less interesting stuff.
